The National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction campaign events are organized though partnerships with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Center for Construction Research and Training, members of the National Occupational Research Agenda Construction Sector Council, along with other stakeholders including large and small construction firms.
Falls are a major safety concern in this industry and others. The Stand-Down events provide a hands-on approach to safety training on topics related to falls, including ladders, safety harnesses, guardrails, scaffolding, lifelines, rope grabs, and personal fall arrest systems.
